          An Islamic cleric behind The Lady of Heaven film cancelled by two cinema chains is, according to his critics, a hard line Shia advocate who is exiled in the UK due to his outspoken views on fellow Muslims.

          Yasser al-Habib, who born in Kuwait and a script writer for the film, also raised funds for the movie which has been at the focal point of Muslim protests in recent days.

          The film was pulled by Cineworld yesterday after hundreds of people gathered outside its branches in Bolton, Sheffield, Birmingham and Bradford and urged for screenings to be axed.
