          Francis Campbell Boileau CadellRSA (12 April &#; 6 December ) was a Scottish Colourist painter, renowned for his depictions of the elegant New Town interiors of his native Edinburgh, and for his work on Iona.

          Francis Cadell (pronounced "Caddle")[2] was born in Edinburgh, the son of Dr Francis Cadell FRCSE (–), a wealthy surgeon[3] and his wife, Mary Hamilton Boileau (–).[4]
